Every Wandering Sportsman journey is built around intention, small groups, trusted guides, thoughtful preparation, and time to let the experience unfold. We choose destinations for their character, not their popularity, and we focus on quality days afield rather than crowded itineraries.

Whether you’re fishing, hunting, photographing, or all three, you’ll travel with someone who values the quiet moments as much as the highlights. And if you prefer to go it alone, we offer fully customized solo adventures designed around your pace, goals, and vision of the journey.

Because the best trips aren’t just remembered for what was taken, but for what was earned along the way.

For those interested in hosting their own adventure with a private group, I also offer that opportunity. I am now the U.S. representative for Dreamwater Angling, and can work directly with group organizers to help structure and support their own hosted trips, providing guidance, access, and meaningful
incentives for the trip leader.

Sporting Adventures with The Wandering Sportsman

For more than 25 years, I have had the privilege of working in the sporting world as a guide, teacher, outfitter, and host, pursuing fish and game across North America and around the world. Along the way, I have learned that a truly great sporting adventure is about far more than simply reaching a destination. It is about the people you meet, the places you experience, and the relationships and memories that remain long after the trip is over.

Over the years, many of the lodge owners, outfitters, guides, and sporting professionals I work with have become more than business associates, they have become personal friends. These relationships have been built through years of traveling, fishing, hunting, sharing camps, and experiencing these destinations firsthand.

That experience matters.

The destinations you will find here are not simply places I discovered online or selected from a brochure. They are lodges, outfitters, and destinations that I have personally worked with, visited, and trusted for many years. I know the people behind them, understand their operations, and believe in the experiences they provide.

Hosted Adventures

The trips listed throughout this site are primarily hosted adventures with me, The Wandering Sportsman.
When you join one of my hosted trips, I am there to help make the entire experience as enjoyable and seamless as possible, from preparing for the adventure and coordinating travel logistics to being alongside you at the lodge, in camp, on the river, or in the field.

For many sportsmen and women, that hosted experience is exactly what they are looking for. But it isn't the only way I can help.
Your Adventure, Your WayMaybe you prefer to travel independently. Perhaps you have a group of friends, family members, or fishing and hunting partners who want to create an adventure of your own.

I can help with that, too.

Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with your own private group, I can work directly with my trusted lodges and outfitters to help you select the right destination, determine the best dates, customize your experience, and coordinate the logistics that can make an international sporting adventure seem complicated.

Because of the relationships I have developed over the years, I can also help communicate and negotiate directly with the lodge or outfitter on your behalf. My goal is simple: to help create the trip that is right for you, not simply sell you a package.

There is no additional planning fee or consulting charge for working with me. My relationships with these destinations allow me to help you plan your adventure without adding another cost to your trip.

I have spent much of my life traveling to these places, learning their waters, walking their fields, getting to know their guides and owners, and discovering what makes each destination special.
